I was lucky enough to be selected as a finalist for EF tour's GoAhead Tour company photographer search. I was sent to Italy with the instructions to "shoot what I saw". Dream Job indeed. I got to eat great food, see great sites and most importantly, meet and travel with some truly great people, people looking for an intimate insiders vacation with lots of adventure and lots of fun.

I vowed to hike & camp & summer more up in the northern forest more this summer than ever before & damned if I don't. This is a foggy and rainy hike up to LittleHaystack, bivy off-trail, followed by a zombie hike through the fog to the summit of Lafayette, then down ye ole bridal path back to Lafayette Place. Followed by a well deserved soak in the waterfalls cascading down the mountains and soaking in granite basins.

Went for a springtime/summer hike with Elizabeth and my new Canon G15. Turned into a winter storm and woke up to an inch of snow on the tent. Lonesome Lake, NH.

The Boston-based band Earthquake Party came to tear it up at The Snalligator recently for a photo/video shoot with the Loroto dudes. There was of course mayhem, un-solicited fires, maple moonshine, grillin', and i think atleast someone broke their teeth. Summer has officically begun!

Back in November a fine Southern gentleman with gold teeth and a great smile took my compadre and I on a perfect sunset afternoon private airboat tour of the everglades. We went so fast & saw so many gators. Best money I ever spent.

In September I got an assignment for Boston Magazine to shoot their feature travel story. I drove all over New England for the photos and Vermont was the last story to tell. I knew with the mountains and  Lake Champlain and the islands the only way to tell the unique story of the road was with a vantage from high above. I traded a case of beer and fuel for a trip to 5,000 feet, from Burlington to the Canadian border we flew. But my ace pilot took me down to just above the tree line and we buzzed the many bridges that connect the islands to the mainland, shooting while the wind whipped my camera gear around the open cabin. We flew with the doors and windows open, like being on a motorcycle in the sky.  In the end Boston Magazine ran two aerial photos for the Travel Feature. wooooo!
